Beginner or Advanced?

I’ve recently received several emails asking whether ECHO is for those new to media (whether creating or creatively using it) or for those who know the ropes and want to go even more in depth. The answer is both. Our vision behind ECHO is to not only inspire you to use media creatively, but to also raise the bar on the quality of media being created. We have a great mix of classes for whatever skill level you’re at…

For the beginners, we have classes on

  • how to get started editing
  • how to use media as a teaching tool
  • where to go to get the best media resources
  • which presentation software is best for your church

For the more experienced, we have classes on

  • design, compositing, and editing
  • website design
  • web standards (XHTML, RSS, and JavaScript)

And, there are also numerous classes that, no matter what your background or experience, will be beyond beneficial for your church or ministry. In addition to classes, the opportunity to network and build relationships with others who are passionate about creating and using media will be invaluable.

All in all, no matter what your skill level, background, or experience, ECHO will challenge you, inspire you, and hopefully stretch your idea of how media can be created and used to make an impact.
