Flights

There are two main airports in Dallas that you can fly into. Dallas Love Field is about 11 miles (approx 15-20 minutes drive time) southwest of Watermark. Love Field is a hub for Southwest Airlines so you should be able to find some great deals on airfare through their website. DFW Airport is about 20 miles (approx 25-30 minutes drive time) west of Watermark and has hundreds of daily flights to accommodate any schedule.

If you plan on attending the pre-conference labs (which you definitely should), I’d encourage you to fly in the evening of Wednesday, August 13. If you want plan your flight to miss the evening traffic, flying into Dallas anytime around 7pm will work. If you plan on attending the conference only, I’d encourage you to fly in mid-day on Thursday, August 14. Conference registration begins at 3pm on Thursday and we will provide dinner that evening at 5pm.

The conference ends at 2:30pm on Saturday, leaving plenty of time to get back home for Sunday services.

Hotels

The official conference hotel is the Westin Park Central. They are offering conference attendees an amazing rate of $99/night (single or double occupancy). We only have a limited number of rooms reserved so be sure to book your room early. You can call the Westin at 972-385-3000 and be sure to mention the ECHO Conference for the discounted rate. The Westin is within walking distance (0.2 miles) to Watermark, so if you don’t want to rent a car you will definitely want to stay at the Westin.

There are several other area hotels, all within about 5 miles of Watermark. Click Here for a list of these hotels.

Getting around Dallas

Both airports offer lots of rental car options if you choose. However, if you don’t want to rent a car, taxis from the airports to the Watermark/hotel area will run you anywhere from $30 to $45 (and vice versa on the way back). We are providing snacks, lunch and dinner throughout the conference and breakfast will be on your own. There are a few fast food places that serve breakfast within walking distance of the Westin as well as a deli inside the hotel.

We are so excited to announce the newest breakout speaker - Tim Stevens, executive pastor of Granger Community Church! Tim will be at ECHO teaching two amazing breakout sessions. We are thrilled to have Tim as a part of ECHO and know that he will bring invaluable insight and experience to the conference. You can get to know Tim on his blog, LeadingSmart.com, as a columnist for for our sister company, COLLIDE Magazine, and through his new book, Pop Goes The Church.

breakout descriptions are up!

The breakouts sessions are shaping up to be just as incredible as the keynotes! We’ve posted some of the breakout class descriptions, with more to come in the next few weeks. We’re working hard to bring you classes that will be really useful to you in your church or ministry. We want you to walk away with dozens of new ideas and tools that you can start to put in place when you get home from ECHO.

And don’t forget about the pre-conference labs as well. These will be much more in depth and advanced classes for all of you who know the basics, but want to take your knowledge and skills further.
